| The Art Studio of Megan Dull, SND
Mission
To promote an artistic expression in which the spiritual dimension is the dominant component, creating a bridge between the visible and the invisible, becoming a source for human transformation. One of the primary goals of this studio work is to engage in the on-going dialogue on the connections between the arts and the Sacred, reaffirming that the Holy is manifest through substance itself.
Brief Artist Statement:
Clay reminds us of the link between our bodies and the life energies of the earth. The sculptural work emerges from earth itself - cracked, fissured, an elemental substance acted on by fire and geologic time. I am enlivened by the clay, valuing the tactile interaction, its very physicality, the imprinting of gesture. Kinship with earth, interconnectedness, accessing the hallowed place, communion with mystery, relationships to ritual and spiritual expression: these shape the heart of what my work is pressing to voice.
