Community Life
Notre Dame grew from deep friendships rooted in the love of Christ. Friendships in Christ blossom into God's kingdom. They support the individual, are a joyful sign and realization of God's love, and prepare sisters for their mission of loving people as Christ did.

A large provincial house community offers the rich companionship of many personality types. Sisters who live in small communities share everyday chores of shopping, cooking and housework. Close interaction of like-minded sisters encourages deep friendship in the Lord and facilitates deep faith sharing. In either style, community is never ideal. Part of the joy is the constant struggle to make it work.
